Women-Owned Beauty Brands To Support
The Beauty Chef by Carla Oates
You know the saying skincare first, makeup second? Well we also strongly believe that nutrition and wellness should come first, and skincare second. When it comes to beauty, skincare, makeup and wellness all work hand in hand. Carla Oates founded The Beauty Chef in 2009 following her own struggles with gut health issues and allergies. She worked on a range of Inner Beauty products which consists of powder supplements aimed at addressing different concerns: from ageing, to dull skin, dry skin or acne. That explains why The Beauty Chef is top of the list of our favourite women-owned beauty brands to support right now.
Summer Fridays by Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland
Having started out as influencers, Marianna and Lauren spent years testing beauty products and becoming beauty pros before launching Summer Fridays out of a desire to have products that ticked all the boxes: clean ingredients, cruelty-free, effective and with beautiful packaging. Their sell-out product Jet Lag mask has quickly become a cult favourite with many new products following suit.
Supergoop by Holly Thaggard
A former school teacher, Holly launched Supergoop after bringing in SPF pumps into her Texan classroom to help better protect her students against harmful UV rays. She aims to raise awareness of skin cancer and the importance of wearing sunscreen every single day. Setting out to change how people viewed sunscreen, she launched Supergoop products to be non-sticky, easy to apply. With regular new cult products which include skincare, makeup and even products for toddlers and babies, the brand keeps on going from strength to strength.
Beauty Pie by Marcia Kilgore
Beauty Pie is a new concept which has made real waves in the beauty industry over the last couples of years. Essentially acting as a Buyers Club for luxury beauty products ranging from skincare, to makeup, accessories and even perfumes and candles, you pay a monthly fee which gives you access to serious discounts. Formulated by experts, the products really deliver results and can save you some serious cash. Plus, we love that memberships can be cancelled at any time and that all the packaging is so aesthetically pleasing! No wonder Beauty Pie has made its way onto our list of women-owned businesses to support right now.

Gisou by Negin Mirsalehi
The story of Gisou starts all the way back in 1972. Coming from 6 generations of beekeepers, Negin grew up around bees and learning all about the powers of honey. With a father who was a beekeeper and a mother who was a hairdresser, it seems everything fell into place for Negin to finally launch Gisou in 2013 after years of experimenting. Launching first with the Honey Infused Hair Oil which quickly became a cult favourite, the brand now counts a wide range of haircare and skincare products.
